The “Zhimei Academy — The Beauty of Chinese Art” series of public lectures is hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shenzhen Futian District Committee and the Futian District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and co-organized by Shenzhen Library and Shenzhen Asian Copper Advertising Communication Co., Ltd. “Zhimei Academy” is a cultural brand aimed at spreading the beauty of Chinese art, planned and hosted by the renowned designer and cultural scholar Mr. Han Zhanning.
The third season of “Zhimei Academy” was held from October 2020 to January 2021. Eight heavyweight scholars, including Hang Jian, Vice President of China Academy of Art; Wang Guangyao, Research Librarian of the Palace Museum; Yuan Bo, Associate Professor of the Visual Communication Design Department at Tsinghua University Academy of Arts & Design; Zhang Pengchuan, Professor of Soochow University; Bai Qianshen, Dean of the School of Art and Archaeology at Zhejiang University; Yan Yan, Director of Wangye Museum; Wang Yudong, Executive Vice Dean of the School of Art and Humanities at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts; and renowned designer Han Zhanning, successively guest-starred at “Zhimei Academy”. They exchanged knowledge with art enthusiasts and led everyone to appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese art.
The third season consists of eight lectures. The series of posters were personally designed by Han Zhanning, the chief planner and host of “Zhimei Academy”. The posters take seal script as the main visual element, with neat strokes, smooth turns, and characters that complement each other, fully demonstrating the beauty of seal script.
